One At A Time
 Each day an old man walked along the beach, picking up starfish, that had been washed up on the shore by the tide, and threw them back into the sea.
One day a young boy stopped the old man and asked Why do you throw the Starfish back into the sea? It dosent matter. They will only wash up on the shore tomorrow. The Old Man bent over, picked up another and threw it as far as he could into the sea, and replied... it made a difference to that one.

Donations Needed
Due to the slow down in the economy , our cash donations have slowed down but the number of pets brought into the shelter have increased.
The Humane Society is not funded by any governmental agency and we have no paid employees. We are an all volunteer organization, funded by grants and individuals such as your-self.
All cash donations are used to offset the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, vaccine immunizations, rabies vaccinations, medical supplies, health tests, emergency treatment, veteranary bills, and many other operational costs benifiting the animals.
You can help by sending a Tax deductable check in the amount of $10.00 25.00 , $ 50.00 , $ 100.00.
You can help by making a memorial donation, in memory of a Pet or Loved One
Encourage a Memorial Donation be made to the Humane Society of Scott County In, In lue of flowers.
